Rebels Picked to Finish Fourth in SEC West in 2023
OXFORD, Miss. -- The predicted order of finish for the 2023 season in the Southeastern Conference was released on Friday following SEC Media Days, and the Ole Miss Rebels find themselves in the middle of the pack of the West Division.
The Rebels were the lone team in the SEC West to not receive a first-place vote, coming in at No. 4 in the pecking order. The predicted finish for both divisions can be found below with the number of first-place votes indicated in parenthesis.
SEC West:
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (165)
2. LSU Tigers (117)
3. Texas A&M Aggies (1)
4. Ole Miss Rebels
5. Arkansas Razorbacks (3)
6. Auburn Tigers (4)
7. Mississippi State Bulldogs (1)
SEC East:
1. Georgia Bulldogs (265)
2. Tennessee Volunteers (14)
3. South Carolina Gamecocks (3)
4. Kentucky Wildcats (1)
5. Florida Gators
6. Missouri Tigers
7. Vanderbilt Commodores (8)
The Georgia Bulldogs received the most votes to win the SEC Championship in December with 181. Alabama came in second with 62 votes followed by LSU with 31.
The 2023 season will be the final year for the division model in the Southeastern Conference with the addition of the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners to the league in 2024.
