SEC Announces Kickoff Time, TV Details For Ole Miss Rebels vs. LSU Tigers
OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels are fixated on their road game versus the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday, but it is not too early to prepare for their first home conference matchup of the 2023 season.
The Southeastern Conference revealed the league-wide TV schedule for Week 5 on Monday, and Ole Miss is set to host the No. 12 LSU Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 5:00 p.m. CT and the contest will be televised on ESPN.
Entering Week 4, the Rebels are undefeated going their first SEC matchup of 2023 while LSU is currently 2-1 after losing to the Florida State Seminoles in Week 1. The Tigers faced Mississippi State in Week 3 and handled their first SEC opponent with ease, dismantling the Bulldogs 41-14 on the road in Davis Wade Stadium.
LSU welcomes the Arkansas Razorbacks to Baton Rouge on Saturday and will try to knock off another SEC West rival, as the Tigers have their eyes set on the conference championship game at the end of the regular season.
With the SEC looking weaker than usual through the first three weeks of the 2023 season, there is a chance that the winner of Ole Miss vs. LSU will end up representing the western division in the conference championship.
Before the Rebels can begin to think about the big game in Atlanta, however, they first must topple the Crimson Tide on their home turf.
Kickoff between Ole Miss and Alabama on Saturday is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS.
