Ex-Ole Miss QB John Rhys Plumlee Reps Former School During 2024 Hula Bowl
Former Ole Miss Rebels quarterback John Rhys Plumlee showed his old school some love during the 2024 Hula Bowl All-Star game in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday.
According to 247, Plumlee split his time on the field wearing a UCF Knights and Ole Miss lid. The former Rebel appeared in two drives during the Hula Bowl and threw one touchdown pass for "Team Aina" in a 24-17 loss.

Plumlee spent the first three seasons of his college career playing for Ole Miss before entering the NCAA Transfer Portal ahead of the 2022 season to find more playing time with UCF. The dual-sport athlete also played baseball for both Ole Miss and UCF. After five seasons of college football, Plumlee has decided to forgo his final baseball campaign to prepare for a potential career in the NFL.

Plumlee spoke with Fox 35 Orlando ahead of the Hula Bowl about making the decision to call it curtains on his baseball career.
"Everybody has to hang up the cleats at some point. At least for one sport. I just got to delay mine for longer than usual," Plumlee told Fox 35. "I felt like it was time for me to pick one and pursue a career."
In five seasons with Ole Miss and UCF, Plumlee threw for 5,838 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions, while also rushing for 2,556 yards and 28 touchdowns.
