College basketball is amid a busy, yet new, time in the sport relative to talent acquisition.

The Rebels will look to bounce back from a down 2022-23 season under Beard, who has hit the recruiting trail via the portal and otherwise on a consistent basis

A former Ole Miss Rebel hoops has found a home in the ACC.

Amaree Abram, who entered the transfer portal in mid March, is headed to play at Georgia Tech, per multiple reports Wednesday.

In his one season at Ole Miss, the Port Arthur, Texas, and Southern California Academy product found his season-high in points on Nov. 24 against the Stanford Cardinal, a game that the Rebels won in the ESPN Events Invitational in the early portions of the season.

The guard also played 38 minutes, a season-high, against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in February, a game where the Rebels suffered a loss.

Chris Beard is getting after it with transfer portal prospects.

Another on the move is in Oxford Friday, per the former North Texas guard himself. Tylor Perry is the reigning Conference USA Player of the Year coming off of his 17.3 points per game campaign.

Perry has been busy in the portal, fielding interest from all over the nation. Last Friday, he trimmed his list of options to four between Ole Miss, Florida, Kansas State and Texas Tech.

The last stretch of Perry's time at UNT was just as impressive as his regular season run, earning Most Outstanding Player honors as a part of the program's championship run in the National Invitation Tournament.

One of the ACC's best is on the move and Ole Miss basketball has lined up an official visit.

Multiple reports suggest Pitt center John Hugley, who announced plans to enter the portal more than one month ago, is to be on campus at Ole Miss to begin the week.

Hugley visited Georgia Tech early on, Oklahoma last weekend and has plans to see West Virginia next weekend, per On3. So the Rebels and Beard are in quite the battle, it appears.

As a junior having dealt with a knee injury, the 6-foot-9 big averaged eight points and just under four rebounds per game. The year prior he was even better, registering All-ACC Honorable Mention honors in averaging nearly 15 and 8.
