On Tuesday, the former Oregon center accepted an invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound junior is one of four Oregon players that have accepted invites to this year's Senior Bowl. He'll join former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix, as well as defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus and cornerback Khyree Jackson.

Powers-Johnson spent just one season as Oregon's full-time starting center, but it was a phenomenal year that saw him regularly earn national recognition for the best pancake block of the week or a top performance by an offensive lineman.

The Draper, Utah native took home the Rimington Trophy for the 2023 season, which is awarded annually to the most outstanding center in college football, making him the first Duck to win the award.

Powers-Johnson finished the year with an 84.3 offense grade according to Pro Football Focus, had a 90.6 pass block grade and an 85.2 run block grade---all of which ranked No. 1 nationally among centers.

He was the cog in an Oregon offensive line that was one of five finalists for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line unit in college football.

Despite only spending one season as the team's starting center, Powers-Johnson ensured a smooth transition from long-time veteran Alex Forsyth between the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Powers-Johnson helped lead an Oregon offense that ranked among the best in the country in most categories including points per game, rushing offense and passing offense.

He'll continue the Ducks' strong tradition of sending offensive linemen to next level when he's taken in this year's NFL Draft, but first he'll play in the Reese's Senior Bowl, which is scheduled for Saturday February 3 at 10:00 AM PST.
