Oregon Favored Over Ohio State in Early 2024 Betting Line
It feels like the college football season just ended, so why not take an early look ahead to the 2024 season?
With Dan Lanning taking the Ducks into the Big Ten conference this year, the 2024 schedule promises to have some must-see games on the slate. One game Duck fans surely have circled on the calendar is an October 12 matchup with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
FanDuel Sportsbook has already released an early betting line for this game, and Skyler Carlin is giving the Ducks the slight edge as 1.5-point favorites.

Oregon and Ohio State haven't played since 2021, a game the Ducks won 35-28 over the Buckeyes on their home turf in Columbus. To say that a lot has changed at both programs would be an understatement.
The two quarterbacks on the field that September day were Anthony Brown (Oregon) and C.J. Stroud (Ohio State) and the Buckeyes featured NFL wide receivers Chris Olave (New Orleans Saints) and Garrett Wilson (New York Jets).

Heading into the 2024 season both teams will have new signal callers behind center as Dillon Gabriel transferred from Oklahoma to Oregon and Will Howard transferred from Kansas State to Ohio State. The Ducks also added Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart one of the top players available in the transfer portal, as well as Houston defensive lineman Ja'Maree Caldwell to beef up the trenches.
The Buckeyes lost Biletnikoff winner Marvin Harrison Jr. to the NFL Draft, while Junior Adams and the Ducks lost a gifted receiver of their own, with record-setting wideout Troy Franklin ready take his talents to the game's highest level. Ryan Day and his staff haven't shopped too much in the transfer portal, but they also added Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins, who will pair with TreVeyon Henderson to made a deadly duo in the backfield.
