Dillon Gresham Recaps Oregon Visit

Dillon Gresham is an electric wide receiver that is quickly shooting up Junior Adams' big board of targets.
In this story:

2,051 receiving yards. 22.8 yards per catch. 31 receiving touchdowns.

Those numbers sound like they're straight out of a video game but those are just some of the stats that 2024 San Jacinto (Calif.) wide receiver Dillon Gresham put up as a junior.

The 6-foot, 180-pound playmaker recently made his way out to Eugene and spoke to Ducks Digest about the trip.

Gresham says the Ducks made a big impression after his second time in Eugene.

"A really big one--on how much they want me and where they can see me in their offense."

His time in Eugene had a number of highlights, but spending time with players was a big one.

"Getting the chance to spend time with some of the players like Bucky (Irving) and Tez (Johnson) and just a few of 'em. (Ashton) Cozart," Gresham said. "Also spending time with the staff like Coach June (Junior Adams) and Coach (Dan) Lanning. Going to dinners."

Gresham is a big-play receiver that can take the top off of a defense, but the Ducks don't want to limit his role in their offense.

"Coach June thinks he can move me around and make me a very versatile receiver. Possibly put me in the backfield as well."

The Southern California standout has developed a great relationship with Junior Adams, which is part of the reason the Ducks are in such a good spot.

"He's very understanding on situations and he's a coach who could definitely relate to most of his athletes even outside of the receiver room," Gresham said. "He really takes on himself being another's second father you could say."

Recruits are buying into the vision Dan Lanning has for the program and you can list Gresham as another player who likes what he's hearing.

"Coach Lanning's a really good guy. Really nice dude and knows a lot about football. I see him really changing and making Oregon an even better school than what it is now."

It's not just the Oregon coaches that are recruiting Gresham hard. Wide receiver Jordan Anderson, a fellow Southern California native, is also in his ear a lot.

"He could really see us playing side by side together," he said. "Doing a lot of really good things for the program, for ourselves. That Cali connection to Eugene. He really emphasizes it and talks about it a lot."

Gresham has been busy on the recruiting trail of late, checking off visits to Arizona, Colorado and Washington as well.

What's next for him on the visit front?

"I don't really have any planned as of right now, but I think I'm gonna make my way to taking an SC visit."

The talented pass catcher plans to take two to three official visits in June and two in the fall. Right now there are three schools that have spots locked in.

"I know for sure Oregon, Washington and Arizona," he said. "Oregon, Washington and Arizona and possibly the other two is probably gonna be Oregon State and Colorado or SC."

Gresham sounds like he's closing in on a decision.

"After taking my visits all in the past two weeks I think I'm going to honestly be close enough to make my decision in a month or two."

He's looking for his school to check a couple different boxes.

"Is it somewhere I can live? Is it somewhere I could be comfortable going to school for? A family environment where I can see myself bonding and having a relationship with guys."
