5-Star LSU Commit Dakorien Moore Remains Focused on Oregon
Oregon's 2025 recruiting class already holds verbal commitments from two of the best wide receivers in the country in Dallas Wilson and Adrian Wilson.
But Junior Adams and the rest of the coaching staff in Eugene are continuing to pursue blue-chip talent on the recruiting trail.
On Monday, Duncanville (Tex.) wide receiver Dakorien Moore, a verbal commitment to LSU, placed Oregon in his top four schools, along with Texas, Ohio State and LSU, according to a report from Mike Roach of 247Sports.
Roach also reported that Moore is shutting down communication with schools outside of his newly-released top group.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wideout has been committed to Brian Kelly and the Tigers since August and is one of three LSU commitments in the 2025 cycle ranked No. 1 at their respective positions (QB Bryce Underwoood, RB Harlem Berry).
Oregon has remained consistent in their approach with Moore, even getting him on campus for a visit earlier this year during one of their two junior day weekends.
Rankings Rundown for Dakorien Moore
247: No. 4 nationally, No. 1 WR, No. 2 in TX
Rivals: No. 4 nationally, No. 1 WR, No. 1 in TX
On3: No. 3 nationally, No. 1 WR, No. 1 in TX
During that trip, head coach Dan Lanning made it clear to the Texas standout how big of a priority he is for the Ducks.
"Dan Lanning has expressed to me how much Oregon means to him and stuff like that since he got there," Moore told Ducks Digest after the trip. He's rebuilding a lot down there and I know he's not doing it for nothing. So I really feel like that's where he wants to be and how bad he's recruiting me I know he wants me there with him. To be along the journey so we can get that championship."
Moore is definitely a recruit Oregon fans will want to keep an eye on as spring recruiting visits ramp up and I expect they'll receive an official visit from the elite route runner before his recruitment comes to its final conclusion.
