A New Recruiting Prediction for Oregon Ducks Football
Spring is an important time on the recruiting calendar for any program.
The Oregon Ducks boast the No. 8 recruiting class in the country for the 2024 cycle according to 247Sports and they're working on adding to their five verbal commitments.
Today I'm logging a prediction for 2024 Valley Village (Calif.) Campbell Hall linebacker Kamar Mothudi to commit to Oregon.
Confidence Level: 7.5/10
After speaking with Mothudi multiple times since landing his offer from Oregon as well as sources close to the program, I'm feeling good about this pick.
The standout linebacker was on campus in Eugene for a visit over the weekend and the Ducks absolutely knocked that trip out of the park.
The attention to detail, specifically the player development and player personnel meetings were among the main things that stood out from his first time seeing the program first hand.

Dan Lanning has been a relentless recruiter since being hired at Oregon and that's paying off so far. Oregon checks all the boxes for Mothudi.
He's leaning toward a summer decision and is working on locking in official visits to Michigan and Oregon. Oklahoma has been reaching out a lot but the Sooners have yet to offer. The Ducks got in relatively early and I think Mothudi will only continue to see his recruiting stock rise as more programs learn about how special of a talent he is.
If you're wondering just how special he is, just think about how a 6'3", 225-pound linebacker led his league in both tackles and rushing. That's not something you hear every day.
Oregon has dominated recruiting in Southern California for the last five years and that's not set to change any time soon under Dan Lanning.
Lincoln Riley may have the inside track on the top offensive talent, but Demetrice Martin, 247's Pac-12 Recruiter of the Year, alongside Tosh Lupoi and Rashad Wadood give Oregon more than a puncher's chance with any defensive recruit in the region. If you're looking for evidence you don't need to look any further than Oregon signees Matayo Uiagalelei (St. John Bosco), Rodrick Pleasant (Junipero Serra), Daylen Austin (Long Beach Poly) and Solomon Davis (Charter Oak) from the 2023 recruiting cycle.
Things can change and I wouldn't be surprised to see more offers come in, but I'm feeling good about Oregon's chances in part because they got in early.
