The 6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker announced his commitment on Monday evening on the 247Sports YouTube channel, picking the Oregon Ducks over the Oklahoma Sooners.

Oregon's newest verbal commitment is rated a four-star (0.9249) recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 191 player nationally, the No. 15 linebacker and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Washington.

Recognized as one of the best overall athletes in the Pacific Northwest, the Adidas All-American selection also shines as a running back for the Yelm Tornadoes, carrying the ball 87 times for 928 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior in 2022. But his impact extends beyond the football field, as he's one of the best track stars in Washington, excelling in multiple events including Javelin, Shot Put, Discus and Hammer Throw.

His pledge to the Ducks makes him the 23rd overall recruit and the third linebacker in Oregon's 2024 recruiting class, joining Dylan Williams of Long Beach (Calif.) Poly and Kamar Mothudi from Los Alamitos (Calif.) High School.

A commitment from Platt moves Oregon's 2024 recruiting class from No. 14 to No. 11 nationally (according to the 247Sports class calculator), jumping the Auburn Tigers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Oklahoma Sooners.

With Platt in the fold, the Ducks are now likely finished at linebacker this cycle, but will continue to recruit five-star Conroe (Tex.) Oak Ridge linebacker and Georgia commit Justin Williams.
