The Ducks are heating up on the recruiting trail.

2024 Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Dylan Williams has committed to Oregon. He announced his decision on the Rivals YouTube channel.

He chose the Ducks over schools like UCLA, Washington and Michigan State among others.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker took his official visit to Eugene in June and also took officials to UCLA, Washington, and Michigan State during his recruitment.

Williams is rated a four-star (0.9304) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 175 player nationally, the No. 14 linebacker and the No. 17 recruit in California.

As a junior in 2022, he recorded 79 total tackles (53 solo), 4.5 sacks and 25.5 tackles for loss across 11 games (according to MaxPreps) en route to a Moore League title and a 10-1 season that ended with a 52-42 loss to Los Alamitos in the CIF Division 1 playoffs.

Oregon's newest commit comes from a familiar spot for the Ducks, as they signed Long Beach Poly cornerback and Under Armour All-American Daylen Austin in the 2023 cycle, flipping him from a long-time commitment to LSU.

The Southern California standout has been viewed as an Oregon lean since he de-committed from USC in the fall and has always had great things to say about the Ducks.

"Everything's 100% great over there," Williams told Ducks Digest about his Oregon interest in May. "I love everything they're doing out in Oregon. Everything."

Williams is the first linebacker to commit to Oregon in the 2024 recruiting class and is one of a handful of elite backers the Ducks are pursuing.

Other names to monitor at his position include Justin Williams, Brayden Platt and Kamar Mothudi, who is scheduled to announce his college commitment on July 11. All three players took their official visits with the Ducks in June.
