Oregon Coaches Hit the Road to Start Spring Evaluation Period
Spring football is in the books, which means the coaching staff is free to hit the road and check in on their top targets across the country, mainly in the 2024 recruiting class.
Today we're tracking where some of the Oregon coaches have been this week and who they might have stopped to see.
Carlos Locklyn -Basha High School (Chandler, AZ)
Basha is home to a lot of big-time talent in the 2024 class, namely QB Demond Williams (Ole Miss commit) as well as cornerback Miles Lockhart.
Lockhart was in Eugene for the spring game and his top group looks to be clearing up. He went on record saying Ohio State was his leader last time I spoke with him, but Oregon and Wisconsin are also heavily involved.
Don't discount the Ducks here after they signed 2023 cornerback Cole Martin out of Basha, who was one of my standouts in the spring game.
Evergreen High School (Vancouver, WA)
Some Oregon coaches stopped by to check in on offensive tackle Fox Crader, their top offensive line commit in the 2024 class who has drawn major attention from schools like Georgia and Texas A&M of late.
He's an important recruit to hang on to, seeing as he's from the Pacific Northwest.
Will Stein-Pinnacle High School (Phoenix, AZ)
Oregon's offensive coordinator stopped by the home of the No. 1 player in the country, Dylan Raiola. There might be a couple other prospects the Ducks are going after, but he's obviously the biggest name.
I don't imagine the Ducks have much of a shot with the talented quarterback, especially after landing Luke Moga, but Raiola was in Eugene last weekend for the Elite 11 Regional. For whatever that's worth.
Will Stein-Sunnyslope High School (Phoenix, AZ)
Stein took the time to check in on one of Oregon's newest commits in 2024 QB Luke Moga. Moga is already taking to social media to recruit other big-time Arizona prospects like Elijah Rushing, an edge rusher out of Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic and Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe running back Christian Clark.
Tosh Lupoi-Campbell Hall High School (Valley Village, CA)
Oregon's defensive coordinator was back in his home state to stop by the home of one of Oregon's top linebacker targets Kamar Mothudi.
He was in Eugene for the spring game last weekend and I've had him predicted to Oregon since March. Mothudi has locked in his official visits and the Ducks will get a trip at the end of next month.
