Oregon men's basketball recently wrapped up the regular season, securing a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 after finishing with an 18-13 record, going 12-8 against conference opponents.

Now they're waiting to see who they'll face in the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.

While this season certainly hasn't been one to write home about, fans can be excited about what the future holds for the Ducks, as they currently hold the nation's No. 8 recruiting class for 2023.

Montverde Academy forward Kwame Evans Jr. headlines the group as a top-15 recruit nationally and he's joined by Chandler (Ariz.) Compass Prep small forward and Portland native Mookie Cook as well in-state point guard Jackson Shelstad from West Linn (Ore.).

But Dana Altman might not be finished adding blue-chip talent to his 2023 recruiting class.

2023 Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon guard Bronny James is one of the top remaining targets for the Ducks and has named a final three of Oregon, USC and Ohio State.

On Tuesday he earned his fifth star from On3 as the nation's No. 9 recruit standing among the country's elite players on the hardwood.

Here's what the On3 Staff had to say about James in their scouting summary

“Bronny James is a sturdy guard, with a strong frame, long arms, and broad shoulders. The 6-2/6-3 guard is a noted defender at the point of attack. He moves his feet well laterally and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Offensively he does not really show blow-by burst in the half-court, but he attacks closeouts well, and he is strong in the paint. James is good in transition, has a little bit of wiggle there, and can get on the rim. He is explosive in straight lines. James needs to tighten his handle in space. One of his biggest areas of improvement is from three, where he has cleaned up his mechanics – especially the release – and gathered his balance. James made 13 threes in six Peach Jam games at a 35 percent clip. He will need to finish better at the rim, especially in traffic. When playing as the primary initiator, he takes care of the ball with a better than 2.5:1 assists to turnover ratio at Peach Jam.”

It's been reported previously that James is expected to make his college commitment after his senior season. During the summer James was predicted to commit to Oregon by recruiting experts at On3, but his recruitment has been hard to get a read on in the time since.

Sierra Canyon is also home to the top women's basketball recruit in the country Juju Watkins, who is committed to USC.

On Tuesday night the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers mens team faces the Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) Knights in the CIF State Division 1 regional final.
