Penn State completed its 2023-24 men's basketball roster with a second transfer player from North Carolina. D'Marco Dunn, a 6-5 guard who played 50 games for the Tar Heels the past two seasons, is the 13th scholarship player, and ninth transfer, on coach Mike Rhoades' first Nittany Lions roster.

Dunn arrives at Penn State with two seasons of eligibility. He played two years at North Carolina, averaging 10.2 minutes and 2.7 points per game as a sophomore. Dunn scored a season-high 14 points against Louisville and had eight points in 13 minutes during North Carolina's ACC tournament win over Boston College.

Dunn was a 4-star prospect and top-100 national recruit, according to Rivals and 247Sports, at North Carolina's Westover School. He averaged 21.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in two seasons at Westover, helping the team to a 41-3 record over that period. Originally from Arizona, Dunn played his first two seasons at Tucson's Marana High.

“We’re super excited to have D’Marco join our basketball family," Rhoades said in a statement. "I have known D’Marco for a long time and am really excited to now get to work with him. D’Marco fits our style of play and approach and we can’t wait to get in the gym with him."

Dunn joins former North Carolina teammate Puff Johnson in transferring to Penn State. The Lions' 13-player roster will include nine transfers, four of whom are from North Carolina and VCU, Rhoades' former program.

Penn State will gather the team for a week-long August trip to the Bahamas, where it will play several exhibition games.
