Penn State Unveils Player List for Senior Day Ceremony

Twenty-five Nittany Lions will be recognized before Saturday's game against Rutgers at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State will recognize 25 football players during its Senior Day ceremony prior to Saturday's game against Rutgers at Beaver Stadium. The list includes players who will exhaust their eligibility this season and others who are eligible to return next year. Here's the list, with their class designation, which accounts for the COVID season:

  • Defensive tackle Hakeem Beamon (redshirt senior)
  • Receiver Dante Cephas (redshirt senior)
  • Offensive lineman Nick Dawkins (redshirt junior)
  • Cornerback Johnny Dixon (senior)
  • Defensive lineman DVon Ellies (senior)
  • Safety Keaton Ellis (senior)
  • Offensive lineman Olu Fashanu (junior)
  • Kicker Alex Felkins (senior)
  • Cornerback Daequan Hardy (redshirt senior)
  • Defensive end Adisa Isaac (redshirt senior)
  • Offensive lineman Golden Israel-Achumba (redshirt junior)
  • Linebacker Curtis Jacobs (junior)
  • Tight end Theo Johnson (junior)
  • Receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith junior)
  • Receiver Malick Meiga (junior)
  • Offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad (redshirt senior+)
  • Running back Trey Potts (redshirt senior)
  • Running back Tank Smith (redshirt senior)
  • Receiver Mason Stahl (redshirt junior)
  • Punter Riley Thompson (senior)
  • Offensive lineman Ibrahim Traore (redshirt junior)
  • Offensive lineman Caedan Wallace (redshirt senior)
  • Tight end Tyler Warren (junior)
  • Defensive end Jake Wilson (redshirt junior)
  • Offensive lineman Sal Wormley (redshirt senior)

The most interesting inclusions are Lambert-Smith, Jacobs, Johnson and Warren, all underclassmen starters who could return or declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. All four could assess their NFL Draft evaluations before deciding. Other starters (including Hardy, Isaac, Wallace and Wormley) could return to Penn State next season by using their extra year of eligibility provided during the 2020 COVID season. Another interesting name is Dawkins, a fourth-year lineman who has a year of eligibility remaining as well.

Players with eligibility who take part in Senior Day still could return. For instance, Ellies participated in the 2022 Senior Day program. Penn State's Senior Day begins at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Beaver Stadium. Penn State hosts Rutgers, with kickoff scheduled for noon.
