PITTSBURGH -- In the immediate aftermath of their win over Georgia Tech, ESPN's Joe Lunardi projected the Pitt Panthers to make the NCAA Tournament as a nine seed. They have not played since but still dropped in new projections from ESPN.

Lunardi, widely considered one of the more accurate bracket forecasters in the industry right now, moved down the idle Panthers in his latest bracket projection to a 10 seed. They would play seven seed Michigan State in the opening round in Des Moines, Idaho and if they win, await the victor of No. 15 Vermont vs. No. 2 Kansas State. Lunardi also has the Panthers as one of the "Last Four In". Boise State moved off the bubble to claim the Panthers' former spot at the nine seed.

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Pitt as an eight seed in his up-to-date projections. They'd play red-hot Texas A&M, winners of six in a row, in Columbus, Ohio. Purdue, slated to face a 16 seed, would likely await who ever moves on.

Fox Sports' Mike DeCoursy doesn't think the Panthers moved at all after defeating Georgia Tech. He kept Pitt on the nine line but gave them a new opponent - Providence. They would play the East Region's 8-9 game in Columbus. Purdue once again looms for the winner.
