PITTSBURGH -- Boston College pulled off one of the most stunning upsets of the season this week in Chestnut Hill and in doing so, helped the Pitt Panthers get back into the thick of the ACC regular season title race.

The Panthers, who had dropped all the way to fourth place after losing at Virginia Tech last weekend, are back in second place by virtue of a win over Georgia Tech earlier this week and the Eagles' 63-58 win over No. 6 Virginia at the Conte Forum.

Boston Collete leading scorer Quinten Post scored just eight points on 4-14 shooting but his teammates picked up the slack. The Langford brothers Makai and Damar combined for 28 points and Jaeden Zackery scored 12 while also tying the team lead in assists with four. Virginia shot just 32% from the field and 19% from 3-point range.

Pitt is tied with the Cavaliers in terms of record in second place but owns the tiebreaker because of its head-to-head win. Miami is a half game up on both of them, but Pitt also has a head-to-head win over the Hurricanes. Virginia lost to Miami earlier in the season. The Panthers get one more shot at the Hurricanes in the season finale at their place and that game will likely decide the regular season conference crown, as long as both teams take care of business in their next two games.
