PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panther Cal Adomitis enjoyed a successful rookie season with the AFC North Champion Cincinnati Bengals and for that, he's been rewarded. The Bengals announced that they had re-signed Adomitis for another year and the news fired him up.

Adomitis arrived in Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent this fall. After regular starting the season on the practice squad, Adomitis was called up to active duty when the Bengals' regular starter, Clark Harris went down with an injury in Week 1. Adomitis had handled all of the preseason long-snapping duties and was a capable starter for the rest of the year in Cincinnati.

At Pitt, Adomitis earned a reputation as one of the best in America at his position. In 2021, he won the Patrick Mannelly Award given to the nation’s top long snapper and earned first-team All-American honors from the American Football Coaches Association.
