PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers and their fans have spent the weekend at home, stressing about their postseason fate after exiting the 2023 ACC Tournament with a 1-1 record, including a convincing win over Georgia Tech and a blowout loss to Duke in the quarterfinals.

The Panthers have been straddling the line between in and out but another national college basketball analyst believes they will be on the right side of the bubble when the final bracket is revealed.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports joined ESPN's Joe Lunardi and the Athletic's Brian Bennett in predicting that Pitt will make their first NCAA Tournament since 2016 this season. Bennett and Lunardi went as far to predict that it will be an 11 seed and one of the "Last Four In" who will play in the First Four games at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. Rothstein, on the other hand, did not offer any seeding in location predictions. He thinks the Panthers will be one of five ACC teams to make the field, alongside Duke, Virginia, Miami and NC State.
