The Panthers' coaching staff extended offers to two 2026 quarterbacks over the weekend.

The first was Briggs Cherry, a 6'3, 180-pound signal-caller from Knoxville, Tennessee who is already garnering interest from the Power 5 level. Ole Miss and Pitt are the first Power 5 programs to offer him, but Kentucky, Louisville, Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech have expressed interest.

The second was Brady Smigiel, a 6'4, 195-pound prospect from Newbury Park, California. He's another hot commodity among Power 5 programs. Arizona, Penn State, Indiana, Florida State, Michigan, Oklahoma State and Georgia, among others, have offered and USC has shown interest.
