GREENSBORO -- The Pitt Panthers went 1-1 in the ACC Tournament, beating Georgia Tech handily in the second round before suffering a blowout loss to red-hot Duke in the quarterfinals. Many thought victory over the Yellow Jackets was enough to lock them into the NCAA Tournament field, but that 96-69 drubbing to the Blue Devils set their quest for a bid back.

ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi released new bracket projections following another day of conference tournament play around the country and he has the Panthers back on the bubble as one of the "Last Four In". He expects them to head to Dayton, Ohio to play in a First Four game against Rutgers. Pitt would need to win that game early next week to earn the right to play six seed Creighton in the official first round. That game would take place in Columbus, Ohio with the winner of Gonzaga-Louisiana awaiting on the other side if they move on.

Pitt is out of opportunities to improve their resume after bowing out of the ACC Tournament. They will have to simply hope their neighbors on the bubble lose too in big ways and that their body of work is enough to convince the Selection Committee that they are deserving of a spot in the Big Dance.
