PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers had been flirting with the NCAA Tournament bubble lately after suffering conference losses to Florida State and Virginia Tech without notching many marquee wins in ACC play. But after blowing out a pair of conference opponents to earn their 20th and 21st wins of the season, the Panthers are back firmly in the picture.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Pitt in a familiar spot - a nine seed and the No. 35 overall seed in his latest Tournament projections. That's an improvement from their position as a 10 seed and one of the "Last Four In" the field.

The Panthers have two more chances to improve their standing in the tournament picture with road contests at Notre Dame and No. 16 Miami. If ACC-leading Pitt can survive their trip to South Bend unscathed, their date with the Hurricanes this weekend will be for the ACC regular season title. They can secure at least a share of the title by beating the Fighting Irish.
