DURHAM -- The Pitt Panthers have caught a massive break before a date with No. 7 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium, as the Blue Devils deal with two critical injuries.

Duke will be down two starters - point guard Jeremy Roach and forward Mark Mitchell - as they host the struggling Panthers for a weekend ACC contest. Pitt, losers of four of their last five, will take any break they can against a team that's beaten them four times in a row.

Roach injured his right knee in the Blue Devils' last game against Georgia Tech, a six-point win at home. He's their second-leading scorer, averaging 14.6 points per game and making 45.6% of his 3-point shots.

Mitchell, who is also dealing with a knee injury, hasn't played since Duke visited Pittsburgh earlier this month. He's the Blue Devils' fourth-leading scorer at 12.2 points per game and adds 5.6 rebounds per contest for good measure.

The Panthers, on the other hand, are at full strength with Ishmael Leggett back in the rotation and nearing 100% as of this week, prior to their last game against Syracuse. He had suffered a shoulder injury in late December and missed just one game.

Reserve forward Christian Reeves, averaging 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game over 5.3 minutes of action per appearance, is also out with an ankle injury.
