PITTSBURGH -- Blake Hinson is on a tear and as he and the Pitt Panthers rattle off win after win, he is earning attention from a variety of national media, including one of the biggest names in the sport.

CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, one of the most prominent college basketball analysts in the country, said following a 41-point masterpiece for Hinson in an 86-59 win over Louisville that the Panthers' superstar forward is an All-American that has his team in position to earn an NCAA Tournament bid for the second straight season.

He entered the night having averaged 18.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while making 46.4% of his 3-pointers  and 52.3% of his total field goals. Now, after a gaudy scoring output, Hinson is averaging a career-high 19.2 points per game on 42.9% shooting from 3-point range.

He hit multiple career and school records against the Cardinals. He scored 41 points, a personal career-high and the third most in Pitt history for a single game. He tied his own single-game high and the program record for triples made with nine. Hinson also officially surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his Pitt career in just 61 games as a Panther, the fourth-fewest games it's taken to do so in school history.

Hinson continues to rack up personal accolades, his team has become one of the hottest in the ACC and the country. They'll keep riding his hot hand as they set their eyes on the postseason.
