WASHINGTON, DC -- The Pitt Panthers still have to get past Wake Forest in their biggest game of the season, but should they move on, they know who their next opponent in the ACC semifinals will be.

Ninth-seeded Florida State hung tough with the top seed, North Carolina for much of the second half but the ACC's regular season champion overwhelmed the Seminoles and ran away with a 92-67 victory in the second half.

Pitt has advance to the ACC semifinals just once during their 10-year tenure in the league.

The Panthers are sitting precariously on the edge of the NCAA Tournament bubble. A loss to Wake Forest would almost certainly knock them out of the discussion for an at-large bid but a win would only produce a marginal lift, according to most major bracketologists.

Pitt will tip off their quarterfinal matchup from Capital One Arena against Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m. ESPN2 will carry the broadcast.
