PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers basketball team has lost a member of their 2022-2023 squad as forward Nick Santos enters the transfer portal, according to Verbal Commits. He becomes the second member of the team to enter the portal, joining John Hugley.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore played 29 games this past season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds, playing about seven minutes a game. He leaves Pitt with 116 career points, 83 rebounds, and 17 steals.

The Panthers have yet to add any members from the transfer portal after seeing great success with it in 2022 with Nelly Cummings, Jamarius Burton, and Greg Elliott.

Santos was a candidate to replace one of the five starters - including the three above-mentioned names - after starting five games last season. They'll look to keep their winning seasons alive following a 24-12 with a 14-6 ACC record.
