PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers transfer target Noah Thomasson is zeroing in on a commitment decision. The former Niagra guard told CBS Sports college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein that he will commit on May 10.

Thomasson, an elite scorer for the Purple Eagles in the MAAC last season, will pick from a top five of Pitt, Penn State, St. John's San Francisco and Georgia. Thomasson has said he will take visits to each of those schools before visiting. He will be in Pittsburgh the week before he makes a final decision.

It's clear to see why Thomasson, a 6'3 lefty from Richmond, Texas, is an attractive candidate for Pitt, who lost three deadly three-point shooters and its second-leading scorer to graduation this offseason. He averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while making 38.6% of his 3-point shots and 52.1% of his 2-point shots. He started all 31 games he appeared in for Niagra last season, averaging 36.4 minutes per game on the way to First Team All-MAAC honors.
