PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have been searching for wide receivers through the transfer portal after losing five players from the position group to both transfers and the NFL.

One of the wideouts Pitt had hoped to add to the roster, Grand Valley State transfer Jahdae Walker, is off the board after he announced that he had committed to Texas A&M over the likes of BYU, Kentucky, Michigan State, Illinois, Michigan State, Colorado and others.

Walker, a 6'4 and 200-pound wideout, was the leading receiver for the 12-1 Lakers last season. He caught 30 passes for 623 yards - an average of 20.77 yards per reception - and four touchdowns as a sophomore.

The Panthers have just two wide receivers on the roster with any regular season game experience on the roster at the moment and will continue their pursuit of pass-catchers through the portal.
