C'Bo Flemister Proves Indispensable For Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- In just his second year with the program, C'Bo Flemister is one of the team's vocal leaders while also producing on a weekly basis.
Flemister, who transferred from Notre Dame prior to the 2022 season, finished Saturday's game with two touchdowns on 13 carries. Pat Narduzzi was quick to point out just how integral of a player and person Flemister is to Pitt after Saturday's contest.
"Can’t say enough about not only the way he ran the ball and pass protected, but just his leadership that he’s given us on offense," Narduzzi said. "Two weeks in a row our captains have picked him to be captain."
Shayne Simon, who played with Flemister at Notre Dame, discussed Flemister's zeal for the game and the ways in which he's seen him grow during their years together.
“His voice and his enthusiasm is electric. He has so much passion for this game,” Simon said. “Seeing him develop and come into his own is amazing to see. I’m so proud of him, proud of his development and just can’t wait to see him in the future.”
Veilleux shared his thoughts on Flemister as well and was quick to point out the quality of his character in addition to the effort he puts in week-in and week-out.
"He’s an unbelievable teammate and an even better person. He runs hard, he gives you everything he has ever single week and tonight he delivered for us and he was a huge part in getting this win," Veilleux stated.
