PITTSBURGH -- When Carter Warren asked his friends along the Pitt Panthers offensive line to help him put on a charity event at the Boys and Girls Club in Millvale on Tuesday, he got quick and enthusiastic volunteers. According to starting center Owen Drexel, the community gives so much to the team during the season that it's only right the Panthers give back.

“It’s super important," Drexel said. "Even in the past when we’d have kids come by the facility, it’s really important to us to give back to the community, just like every Saturday they give so much to us.”

Drexel and Warren - alongside Jake Kradel, Marcus Minor and Gabe Houy - combined with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Pennsylvania to put on the "Carter's Creations Initiative". The players spent an afternoon playing with and talking to the kids.
