PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have continued to alter their depth chart as they close the book on a disappointing loss to Cincinnati and look ahead to the Backyard Brawl against West Virginia.

The Panthers were gashed for 216 rushing yards against the Bearcats and, in an effort to tighten up their run defenses, head coach Pat Narduzzi has gone from two co-starters at defensive tackle to two solo starters in David Green and Devin Danielson, a pair of sixth-year seniors.

Pitt previously had four "starters" at defensive tackle that they rotated through frequently. Narduzzi said at the onset of Week 2 that he liked having those top four playing starters' reps but closer to kickoff of the Cincinnati game said he would cut down the rotation.

He delivered on that promise this week, demoting Deandre Jules and Tyler Bentley to second-string roles while Danielson and Green are all by themselves in the top spots.

Green and Danielson combined for six tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Cincinnati. Jules had three tackles himself, while Bentley did not make it into the box score.
