PITTSBURGH -- With two starting senior corners on their way out, the Pitt Panthers have reached into the transfer portal to look for some reinforcements.

According to The Portal Report, former Central Michigan defensive back La'Vario Wiley has been in contact with Pitt and many other schools since entering the transfer portal earlier this week.

Wiley began his college career at Cerritos College, a junior college in Norwalk, California, a nearby suburb of Los Angeles and transferred to Central Michigan as a redshirt sophomore.

As a backup corner in his first season with the Chippewas, Wiley recorded eight tackles and two passes defended in nine games played. He broke out in 2023, appearing in all 12 games, making 21 tackles and recorded one pass defended.

Oklahoma State, Hawaii, Tulsa, Samford, USF, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Southern Utah, Eastern Illinois, Southeastern Louisiana, Washington, Incarnate Word, Old Dominion, Middle Tennessee, Tulane and Baylor have also expressed interest in Wiley, according to TPR.
