Jordan Addison Pleads Guilty to Misdemeanor Speeding Charge

Former Pitt Panthers receiver Jordan Addison pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers and USC receiver Jordan Addison has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge he picked up last month in Minnesota, according to an agreement filed with the Ramsey County District Court.

As part of the agreement, a second charge for reckless driving against Addison, who played for Pitt from 2020-21, will be dismissed and he will pay a $686 fine. The plea deal will be presented to a judge later next month.

"I made a mistake and used poor judgment," Addison said in a statement. "I recognize and own that. I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry."

He was pulled over and charged with reckless driving by Minnesota State Patrol after he was clocked driving 140 miles per hour in a Lamborghini, according to a report from Sports Illustrated's Bill Enright.

The incident report, later obtained by KSTP-TV in Minnesota, confirmed that Addison was pulled over by State Highway Patrol just after 3:00 am on Thursday morning on I-94 in St. Paul. He was headed eastbound, traveling 85 mph over the speed limit. Addison told officers he was racing home to address an emergency with his dog.

Addison capped his time with the Panthers with a masterful 2021, Biletnikoff Award-winning campaign in 2021. Combining with Heisman Finalist quarterback Kenny Pickett, he hauled in 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns. He transferred to USC following his record-breaking season and accounted for 908 total yards and eight total touchdowns with the Trojans.

He was selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the 23rd overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings this past April.
