PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers did not add another prospect to their 2024 recruiting class this week as a high school target committed elsewhere.

Jah Jah Boyd, a 2024 defensive back prospect from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who attends Roman Catholic High School, announced that he had picked Indiana over Pitt and others, joining new head coach Curt Cignetti's first recruiting class.

Boyd is a consensus three-star prospect but was rated a four-star by ESPN, who ranked him as the No. 9 player in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 32 cornerback prospect in the class of 2024.

He held offers from Penn State, James Madison, Virginai Tech, Liberty, Boston College, Temple and others before committing.

Boyd was in the Steel City for an official visit over the weekend, but the Panthers didn't do enough to convince him that Pittsburgh was the place for him.

Pitt currently has four high school defensive backs - Allen Bryant, Nigel Maynard, Davion Pritchard and Tayshawn Banks - plus a transfer corner from Nebraska in Tamon Lynum, set to join the program in 2024.
