Pitt CB Marquis Williams Injured in Western Michigan Game
Pitt Panthers cornerback Marquis Williams found the endzone for the first touchdown of the game, but has since been dealing with an injury against Western Michigan.
Williams left in the second quarter with a lower-body injury. According to the ESPNU broadcast, the Pitt corner has been on the sideline working out an issue with his foot and shine injury. He did not return from the locker room with the team after halftime. He eventually appeared wearing street clothes.
Williams took an interception 24 yards on the Broncos' second possession, moving Pitt's lead to 10-0.
The redshirt senior had five tackles and a forced fumble coming into the game.
