PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have continued to pursue veteran wide receivers in the transfer portal and they've found a new target at the end of this week.

Miles Cross, a 6'1 and 195-pound receiver who is moving on from Ohio University this offseason, picked up an offer from Pitt, alongside a handful of other Power 5 schools.

Indiana, Miami (OH), Western Michigan, Georgia State, South Florida and Florida Atlantic have all reached out to extend offers as well.

Cross led the Bobcats with 47 receptions for 617 yards and five touchdowns this past season, his junior year. He has at least one more season of eligibility remaining, if not more.

The Panthers have a top line of wideouts that will be serviceable and could possibly compete to be one of the better units in the ACC with Konata Mumpfield, Daejon Reynolds and Kenny Johnson set to return in 2024. But after losing Bub Means, the leading receiver, to the NFL Draft, they'll need to build depth this offseason.
