PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are fresh off a 24-7 loss to No. 4 Florida State, their third in a row, but are now favored to get back in the win column against a Syracuse team that is also struggling to get out of the ACC's basement.

The Panthers are 1.5-point favorites, according to Action Network, over the Orange, who are playing a "home" game 250 miles from campus. Pitt's moneyline odds sit at -122, compared to -101 for Syracuse. The point total line has been set at 37.5.

Pitt and Syracuse will play football at a baseball stadium in Week 12 to pay homage to a 3-0 barn burner from 1923. That October, the Orange bested the Panthers in the first college football game ever played at Yankee Stadium.

The Orange and the Panthers will meet yearly under the ACC's new scheduling model. Pitt won last season's matchup against then-No. 20 Syracuse at Acrisure Stadium by a final score of 19-9. The Panthers have played once in New York City under head coach Pat Narduzzi's tenure for the 2016 Pinstripe Bowl. Syracuse played in the 2022 edition of that postseason game.

The game will kick off and 3:30 p.m. and air on the ACC Network.
