PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers injury report remains unchanged from their last outing, meaning they'll be short a backup defender against Cincinnati.

They will be slightly thinner along the defensive line, with redshirt freshman tackle Sean FitzSimmons sidelined for a consecutive week. He missed the Panthers' opener against Wofford with an undisclosed injury. FitzSimmons dressed, including an extra brace around his right ankle, but did not warm up or appear in the game.

FitzSimmons was a standout during training camp and, without him in the lineup, the Panthers will get a chance to see what Elliot Donald and Isaiah Neal can do. Pitt is deep at the top of the defensive tackle position, but losing FitzSimmons is a major blow to the depth at that position.

The former three-star recruit played in three games last season, tallying two tackles and a sack in the Panthers' Week 3 matchup against FCS foe, Rhode Island. He figured to see a major step up in playing time this season, but will have to wait yet another week.
