Pitt Shows Interest in Former Stanford DB
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have been hot on the trail of defensive backs in the transfer portal this month and they've added a new name to their list of targets this week.
According to The Portal Report, Pitt is one of a handful of Power 5 schools to have expressed interest in former Stanford defensive back Terian Williams II, a talented sophomore looking for a fresh start after not seeing the field very often during his time with the Cardinal.
USC, Cal, Tennessee, Duke, Memphis, Texas Tech and Utah State have also expressed interest in the 5'9 and 170-pound safety from Duluth, Georgia.
Williams has appeared in six career games, made six tackles and recovered one fumble in his time with the Cardinal.
His high school pedigree is extensive - even as a three-star recruit, he was a four-time All-State selection, 2022 All-America Game participant and two-time all-American selection by Adidas and MaxPreps. He held more than 50 scholarship offers coming out of Johns Creek High School.
