Report: Pitt Loses Long-Time Assistant Coach
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have suffered another loss to their assistant coaching staff this offseason.
Video coordinator Chad Bogard, who has spent 15 years over two stints at Pitt, is no longer with the program, according to a report from Chris Peak of Panther Lair, the Rivals site dedicated to covering the Panthers.
During his first stint with the Panthers from 2001 to 2008, Bogard was twice named the Big East Conference’s Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA).
He has extensive NFL experience, having worked as a video coordinator for the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns during the late 1990s. He returned to Cleveland following his first spell with the Panthers and worked there from 2009 to 2015.
Bogard went on to work at Rice before coming back to Pittsburgh in 2017, during the early years of Pat Narduzzi's tenure as head coach, where he remained up until now. During that time, Bogard also helped create a video exchange platform for Division I teams around the country to use.
