PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers could add a couple of new members to the class of 2024 this week, as two players with the Panthers among their finalists are set to announce commitment decisions in the coming days.

Four-star tight end target Dylan Mesman, a product of Saline High School in Michigan, said that he will be committing at the end of the week at his high school. Mesman will choose from the top 10 he created back in January that included Pitt alongside Minnesota, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Duke, Kentucky and Auburn. He trimmed a list of more than 20 offers down to that handful.

Mesman - a 6'5, 230-pound two-sport athlete in basketball as well - is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals and a three-star player by On3, ESPN and 247Sports. He is a consensus top-10 player in the state. of Michigan and top-25 tight end in the class of 2024.

The Panthers already have 10 commitments landed in this recruiting cycle, including three-star tight end Eric Ingwerson from Papillion, Nebraska.
