PITTSBURGH -- One of the best uncommitted basketball players in the class of 2022 has committed to Pitt. Dior Johnson, whose high school career featured stops at 10 different schools, revealed a top-three that included Mississippi State and Washington State in addition to the Panthers on Sunday night. By Monday morning, he had decided on a final landing spot.

Johnson announced his verbal commitment to the Panthers on Twitter. It is worth noting has abandoned a verbal commitment twice before - once with Syracuse and more recently with Oregon. He has not yet signed a letter of intent.

Should he enroll at Pitt, he will be the fourth-highest rated recruit in program history and by far the best of Capel's tenure, according to 247Sports. He trails only Steven Adams, Dante Taylor and DeJuan Blair.

Dior can score, but also gets credit for being a willing playmaker. He is not particularly big, but scouts still rave about his ability to rebound at that position and feel that he has the potential to become an above average defender.
