Pitt Extends Offer to 4-Star DE From Texas
The Pitt Panthers have extended a scholarship offer to 2024 four-star defensive end from Texas, Nigel Smith. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound linemen announced the offer on social media following a talk with wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood.
Smith has over 15 offers from schools, including Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma. He's coming off a season with 66 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
247Sports ranks Smith as the 19th prospect in his class, the No. 2 recruit in Texas and the No. 2 recruit at his position.
