Pitt Offers 8th Grade Quarterback Phenom Julian Lewis

The Pitt Panthers put their hat in the ring for the next high school quarterback star.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers aren't waiting around for players to reach the high school level before offering out scholarship. And in recent days, they've sent a scholarship offer to an 8th grade standout.

Pitt has extended an offer to quarterback star Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis out of Carrollton, Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound middle schooler played for his high school team last fall and now holds offers from Pitt, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss, Morgan State, Oregon and Penn State.

Lewis' high school coach is Joe King, who actually coached 2021 first-overall pick Trevor Lawrence. As expected, the phenom is generating a lot of interest from college programs extremely early in his recruiting process.

Lewis was offered a scholarship from wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood.
