PITTSBURGH -- Kenny Johnson won't officially be a Pitt Panther until this summer but as he wraps up his senior year at Dallastown Area High School, he's showing that there is incredible potential headed to the Steel City soon.

The Pitt commit played in the Big 33 Game this weekend, an annual high school all-star game that pits the best from Maryland against the best from Pennsylvania and he dominated on the way to game MVP honors as the Keystone State took home a thrilling third consecutive victory, 31-27.

Johnson posted an otherwordly stat line of nine catches fro 161 yards and a touchdown. That score, which came with 1:15 left in the game, proved the difference in the contest. It was an acrobatic, over-the-shoulder catch made more difficult by the defensive back blanketing him all the way down the field. But it didn't matter.

Johnson is a three-star player in the class of 2023 from Dallastown, Pennsylvania. Rivals ranked him as high as the No. 13 player in the state and No. 90 wide receiver in the class. He picked Pitt over the likes of Penn State, West Virginia, Rutgers, Louisville, Minnesota, Virginia Tech and others.
