How to Watch No. 5 Purdue Basketball at Wisconsin on Thursday

No. 5 Purdue (24-5, 13-5 Big Ten) tips off against Wisconsin (16-12, 8-10) for its regular-season road finale on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET inside the Kohl Center. Here's how to watch the game, with all your TV information, top scorers, coaching bios and more.

MADISON, Wis. — With a share of the 2022-23 Big Ten regular-season title in hand, No. 5 Purdue basketball is looking to garner some momentum for the postseason, starting with a road matchup on Thursday night against Wisconsin. 

With a win, the Boilermakers can secure a conference championship outright while breaking away from a rough stretch late in the season. They have lost four of their last six before their game against the Badgers at 9 p.m. ET inside the Kohl Center. 

"You always say you're going to get everybody's best shot," Purdue coach Matt Painter said on Wednesday. "Well, they should get our best shot too. That's really been the focus of what we've talked to our guys about."

Meet the coaches

Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 18th season as the head coach of Purdue basketball. He owns a 408-196 overall record with the program, including a 207-119 mark in the Big Ten. With a 73-55 win over Nebraska on Jan. 13, Painter became just the fifth coach in Big Ten history with 400 career wins while at a conference school, joining Bob Knight, Tom Izzo, Gene Keady and Lou Henson.

Painter began his head coaching career at Southern Illinois, leading the team atop the Missouri Valley Conference with a 25-5 overall record during the 2003-04 season, dropping only one game in league matchups.

Greg Gard, Wisconsin: In his eighth season at Wisconsin, Gard has a 160-90 overall record and a 92-60 mark in Big Ten play. Gard made a pair of Sweet 16 runs in his first two seasons, but he has not made it past the Round of 32 since 2017.

Gard was named Big Ten Coach of the Year when he led the Badgers to a share of the Big Ten regular season title in 2019-20 and 2021-22. He began his career at Wisconsin in 2001 as an assistant under Bo Ryan before taking over ahead of the 2015-16 season.
