WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — No. 5 Purdue basketball tips off against No. 17 Indiana for the second edition of this season's in-state rivalry. The Boilermakers looking for some revenge against the Hoosiers, who won on their home court inside Assembly Hall back on Feb. 4.

It's another Purdue basketball game day at Mackey Arena. Follow along down below for updates:

9:53 p.m. ET, FINAL — Purdue falls to Indiana for the second time this season, losing 79-71. 

9:47 p.m. ET — One of the biggest differences between Indiana and Purdue tonight has been each team's ability to make 3-pointers. The Hoosiers are 7-of-15 compared to 3-of-20 for the Boilermakers. 

9:41 p.m. ET — A transition dunk for Trayce Jackson-Davis gives Indiana a 73-62 lead over Purdue with 2:54 left to play and prompts Matt Painter to call a timeout. The Hoosiers are shooting 58.6 percent for the second half. 

9:39 p.m. ET — Every time Purdue cuts its deficit to single digits, Jalen Hood-Schifino seems to come up with a huge bucket. He has 33 points now. 

9:35 p.m. ET — Brandon Newman steals the ball away from Jalen Hood-Schifino and is fouled trying to secure the ball before it went out of bounds. He heads to the free-throw line and misses both. Purdue is now 21-of-30 from the line. 

9:31 p.m. ET — Mason Gillis took a hard fall to the floor and appeared to knock the back of his head. He's able to make his way to the free-throw line after being fouled and makes 1-of-2 before Purdue gets the offensive rebound. 

9:26 p.m. ET — Purdue trails Indiana 65-52 with 7:54 left to play. It's been all Hoosiers since the start of the second half, as they have made 13-of-21 from the field since the break. The Boilermakers are just 4-of-15. 

9:23 p.m. ET — Indiana is just taking over the game here at Mackey Arena. Jalen Hood-Schifino has 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting. Purdue is shooting just 37.2 percent for the game. The Hoosiers are at 52 percent. 

9:20 p.m. ET — Trayce Jackson-Davis was starting to find a rhythm for Indiana, scoring six points in two minutes before picking up his fourth foul of the game. A pair of free throws from Zach Edey make it a nine-point game with under 10 minutes to play. 

9:17 p.m. ET — Trayce Jackson-Davis finds his first points of the game after heading to the free throw line. Foul was called on Zach Edey. 

9:11 p.m. ET, UNDER 12 — Mackey Arena was ready to erupt as Brandon Newman soared into the paint and nearly threw down a two-handed put-back dunk. Purdue trails Indiana 53-46 with 11:57 left. 

9:10 p.m. ET — Fletcher Loyer drains a 3-pointer to make it a seven-point game. On the defensive end of the floor, Brandon Newman fights for a loose ball and emerges from a pile to fire up the crowd inside Mackey Arena. 

9:05 p.m. ET — Purdue calls a timeout as Indiana's lead gets up to nine points with 13:18 left to go. The Hoosiers have been on fire since emerging from the locker room. 

9:02 p.m. ET — Fletcher Loyer snaps a 12-0 run for Indiana with a runner inside the lane. But on the other end of the floor, Miller Kopp hits on his third 3-pointer of the game. 

8:57 p.m. ET, UNDER 16 — After Caleb Furst's layup, Indiana goes on a 10-0 run and takes a 44-40 lead. Purdue hasn't scored in nearly three minutes with 15:57 left to play. Trey Galloway has eight points during the stretch. 

8:54 p.m. ET — Purdue preaches a fast start in the first five minutes of the second half, and Caleb Furst starts things off with a layup before Indiana's Trey Galloway nails a 3-pointer. 

8:35 p.m. ET, HALFTIME — Purdue heads to the locker room with a 38-34 lead over Indiana as Brandon Newman drills a 3-pointer from the top of the key. Seven different Boilermakers scored in the first half, but Jalen Hood-Schifino had 23 points to keep things close. 

8:33 p.m. ET — Brandon Newman's block is taken away for goaltending on a shot attempt by Jalen Hood-Schifino. Purdue leads by one in the final 30 seconds of the first half. 

8:28 p.m. ET — Trayce Jackson-Davis picks up his second foul of the first half and heads to the bench. He's still scoreless with under three minutes before the break. Purdue is 10-of-15 from the line after Zach Edey misses a pair. 

8:22 p.m. ET, UNDER 4 — Purdue leads 33-30 but just can't slow down Jalen Hood-Schifino to this point in the game. The Indiana freshman has 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting with 3:32 left to go in the first half. Both teams are 11-of-26 from the floor. 

8:20 p.m. ET — Purdue has held Trayce Jackson-Davis scoreless and has just three turnovers but only holds a two-point lead. It needs to go on a run to end the first half or else things could get dangerous down the stretch. 

8:18 p.m. ET — Jalen Hood-Schifino has the last 12 points for Indiana. Purdue leads by three with just under five minutes left to play before halftime. 

8:15 p.m. ET — Purdue in the bonus with 6:56 left before the break. Caleb Furst is unable to knock down the front end of a one-and-one. 

8:09 p.m. ET, UNDER 8 — Purdue leads Indiana 26-23 with 7:30 still to play before halftime. The Boilermakers are looking to pull away as they did in the opening minutes, but Jalen Hood-Schifino leads all scorers with 15 points so far. Zach Edey has 10. 

8:08 p.m. ET — Jalen Hood-Schifino has been the only offense for Indiana so far, and he's single-handedly keeping things close in the opening period. The freshman guard has 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting and is 4-of-5 from the foul line. 

8:05 p.m. ET — Purdue is doing a great job doubling Trayce Jackson-Davis so far tonight. Brandon Newman pokes the ball free for a steal, and David Jenkins Jr. is able to get a fastbreak shot off on the other end of the floor. 

His 3-point attempt didn't fall, but Braden Smith cleaned things up with an offensive rebound and an easy layup. 

7:58 p.m. ET, UNDER 12 — Zach Edey has now made the last three baskets for Purdue, but Indiana makes it a one-point game as Jalen Hood-Schifino drills a 3-pointer. The Hoosiers freshman has 10 points and the Boilermakers lead 19-18 with 10:33 left before halftime. Trayce Jackson-Davis has yet to score. 

7:49 p.m. ET, UNDER 16 — Caleb Furst just threw down a dunk on a fastbreak pass from Braden Smith. He has four points, and Purdue leads Indiana 13-6 with 14:42 left in the first half. The Boilermakers are 5-of-9 from the field to start the game. 

7:47 p.m. ET — Indiana battling back here as Jalen Hood-Schifino and Trey Galloway each have three. But Ethan Morton keeps things in favor of Purdue with a 3-pointer in the left corner. 

7:44 p.m. ET — Caleb Furst will a great start to the game on both ends of the floor. He has a rebound, a block and a steal before getting a layup to fall in transition in the first three minutes. 

7:43 p.m. ET — Zach Edey gets the first points of the game on a pair of free throws, and Braden Smith gets a high-floating ball through the rim. 

Tipoff — Indiana takes possession off the opening tip, and Caleb Furst gets a steal on an entry pass to Trayce Jackson-Davis. Ethan Morton gets a pretty good look from he 3-point line to start things off, but his shot is unable to find the bottom of the net.
