LIVE BLOG: Follow No. 3 Purdue Basketball at Maryland in Real Time
COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Purdue basketball gets its second consecutive road matchup when it tips off against Maryland at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday. The Terrapins, who are 13-1 at home this season, have won three straight against the Boilermakers when playing inside the Xfinity Center.

8:26 p.m. ET, FINAL — Purdue falls at Maryland 68-54. The Terps buried the went on a 29-4 run after Mason Gillis was called for a technical foul. The Boilermakers have now lost three of their last four.
8:18 p.m. ET, UNDER 4 — Purdue on a 9-2 run trying to cut into Maryland's lead, but the Terps have a 63-52 lead with just 1:53 left to play.
8:07 p.m. ET, UNDER 8 — It's been all Maryland in the second half, and Purdue trails 58-41 with 6:38 left to play. Terrapins shooting 66.6% from the floor since emerging from the locker room and are dominating the Boilermakers on the glass.
8:03 p.m. ET — Since Mason Gillis' technical foul, Maryland has gone on a 21-4 run and leads Purdue by nine points with just over nine minutes to play.
7:51 p.m. ET — Brandon Newman drills a 3-pointer to stop the Maryland run. Purdue takes a one-point lead.
7:49 p.m. ET — Matt Painter calls a timeout as Maryland takes a 39-37 lead with 13:43 left to play. The Terrapins are on a 10-0 run over the last two-plus minutes. Purdue hasn't scored in the last 2:36.
7:43 p.m. ET — Technical foul called on Mason Gillis, who didn't agree with a foul called against him. Maryland trying to keep things close, and Jahmir Young has scored its last seven points.
7:39 p.m. ET— Braden Smith and Zach Edey are getting things rolling for Purdue here in the opening minutes of the second half. They have a combined 27 points so far, and the Boilermakers lead the Terrapins 37-29 with 16:11 left to go.
7:36 p.m. ET — Braden Smith continues his perfect shooting streak from the floor at the start of the second half. He makes a jump shot for Purdue before drilling the team's first 3-pointer of the game.
7:17 p.m. ET, HALFTIME — Purdue takes a 28-25 lead over Maryland into the locker room at halftime. Braden Smith leads all scorers with 10 points on 5-of-5 shooting. Zach Edey added eight points but picked up two fouls before the break.
7:10 p.m. ET — Purdue looking to extend its lead for the first time in the first half, but fouls started to pile up. Mason Gillis sends Jahmir Young to the line for a one-and-one opportunity. He gets a three-point play on the next trip down the court after Zach Edey is called for a foul.
7:02 p.m. ET, UNDER 4 — With the first half winding down quickly, Purdue holds a 22-20 advantage over Maryland with 3:47 left before halftime. The Boilermakers are 11-of-21 from the field, but the Terrapins are keeping things even on the glass so far.
7:00 p.m. ET — Braden Smith steals weak inbounds pass from Maryland and gets an easy bucket underneath the basket. He has a team-high eight points on 4-of-4 shooting.
6:53 p.m. ET — Purdue had made its last four shots from the field before David Jenkins Jr. missed on a 3-point try. Neither team has made a shot from beyond the arc so far in the first half, but Maryland is keeping things close in the opening period.
6:46 p.m. ET, UNDER 12 — Braden Smith is a perfect 3-of-3 to start the game, and leads Purdue with six points with 11:12 still to play in the first half. The Boilermakers have a 10-9 lead over the Terrapins.
6:39 p.m. ET, UNDER 16 — Purdue has an early 8-6 lead over Maryland with 13:34 still to play in the first half. The Boilermakers are 4-of-8 from the field but already have four turnovers in the opening minutes.
6:37 p.m. ET — Maryland ties things up in the opening minutes by getting down the court in transition. Matt Painter stressed taking good shots and taking care of the basketball to prevent the Terps from getting easy looks quickly.
6:33 p.m. ET — Braden Smith gets the first bucket of the game for Purdue. He gets into the lane and fakes a Maryland before dropping in an easy bucket off the glass. The Terrapins get a basket on the other end to keep things even.
Tipoff — Purdue wins the tip and immediately gets the ball inside to Zach Edey. He looks to pass out to the perimeter but tossed it right into the hands of Jamhir Young. Maryland can't get any points on the other end despite a couple of offensive rebounds.
