LOOK: Aliyah Boston Honored During Senior Day Ceremonies
Aliyah Boston has become widely regarded as one of the most decorated athletes to ever wear garnet and black threads at the University of South Carolina. She has won a national title, the national player and defensive player of the year awards, and is a two-time unanimous first-team all-American.
Her resumé stretches out the full length of Lincoln Street, and on Sunday afternoon, before the Gamecocks' final regular season home game, Boston, alongside Brea Beal, Zia Cooke, and others was honored as a part of South Carolina's senior day festivities in front of a sold-out Colonial Life Arena.
Aliyah was the last senior on the team to be announced, and was given a roaring ovation by the Gamecock faithful who were in attendance.
Boston and her fellow senior teammates have accomplished a plethora of high marks in their four years in Columbia, and after having knocked off every regular season opponent to this point in the season, are seeking their second straight national title, which would make them the fourth team in women's college basketball history to accomplish such a feat.
