When you're a true freshman who leads a 21-win team in scoring in three straight games, adds in some highlight-reel-type blocks to boot, and caps off that stretch with a 31-point outing on 82.3 percent shooting from the floor against a conference foe, you're going to garner some attention for yourself quickly. That's what South Carolina's blossoming young star, Collin Murray-Boyles, has done over the past week and a half.

With the Gamecocks set to play a game later tonight against the Auburn Tigers, a game that could have ramifications on both seeding for the NCAA Tournament and the SEC Regular Season Title Race, Murray-Boyles and his teammates have more eyeballs on them now than they have all season long. With the notoriety this game has accumulated, ESPN Men's College Basketball Analyst and former D1 coach Seth Greenberg posted a video on X giving his thoughts on the matchup and took a few seconds to highlight how the skillset Collin possesses is reminiscent of a current NBA player.

"[He] reminds me of Julius Randle. [A] big [and] physical three [or] four-man [who] scores around the basket, [and is a] very good passer. [He] gets to the glass; [he] knows who he is. Plays out of [Carolina's] spacing; just a really good winning player."

Randle has had an incredible basketball career that likely draws the envy of many. He was an All-SEC and All-American player for the Kentucky Wildcats in the early 2010s, went on to be drafted 7th overall (a lottery pick) to the Los Angeles Lakers, and has gone on to be named a multi-time All-Star and All-NBA player taking the floor for the New York Knicks. If Murray-Boyles ends up being anywhere near the same kind of player, Gamecock fans should appreciate what they're watching before he goes onto the professional ranks.
